Let's see what is the frequency actually means!
Simply we can say that Frequency is a number of times an event occurs or number of times it repeats in unit time. An event can be anything, it could be a process, or a voltage waveform, an oscillation etc.
The simple definition of frequency is 'number of cycles per second'. The unit of frequency is Hz (Hertz) in case of signals/waveforms.
Here both the waveforms are sinusoidal. We know that sinusoidal are periodic.
A sinusoidal waveform(or sine wave) consists of a crest and trough. One crest and trough together called a cycle.
OR
We can say according to the portion above the x-axis (first quadrant) is called positive half cycle and the other portion which is below x-axis(fourth quadrant) is known as negative half cycle. Here we can say a positive and a negative half cycle together called a cycle.
Now Let's look into the waveforms.
1. Here in both the cases the time is given(1 seconds)
The one marked in green, V(1) have 2 cycles in 1 second(unit time)
Therefore, the frequency is 2 cycles per second >> f= 2Hz
2. The another one marked in blue, V(2) have 6 cycles in 1 second(unit time)
Therefore, the frequency is 6 cycles per second >>f=6Hz
