Education issues span age ranges from K-College. The issue of money and education is a difficult one. On the one hand resources are needed to be able to provide opportunities. Yet studies have shown that "throwing money at the problem" has not resulted in better outcomes. Looking at the structure of education in RI, school committees are given the power to allocate funding, but they have mandates from the state and contractual requirements to comply with. In the meantime, infrastructure sorely needs and upgrade in low income communities. What solutions can you offer? What are the collateral consequences of any solution you cite?
