20.ANSWER

1.hen D/H ratio changes in extraction the exact depth of the impeller not immersed in the liquid at that moment the effect separation is not possible we maintain constant volume.

i.e.. we are changing the volume when vary the D/H ratio we have to get estimate separation.

2.The interfacial area in the tank varies with the immisibility of the liquids in the tank.

3. the diameter changes with respect to height the interfacial tension is changed because of the large volumes of the tank.

4.even if the volume also changes the extractive layer to separate raffinate layer the droplet size also reduced because of the impeller peed is constant.

20. ANSWER

1. In case doubling the tank volume the extraction is effected slightly ,if we want to double the volume (ex:2meters height tank to fill 3/4th volume can give effect separation) the tank height and diameter is also consider.

2. The speed of the impeller is doubled the vortex or swirling is formed due to heavy liquid content in the tanks.
