Important Note: You may hand write or type write your solutions. During the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) and General Community Quarantine (GCQ) periods due to COVID-19 pandemic, we are mandated by the government to stay at home at all times in order to avoid the spread of the said virus. Being an engineering student who have knowledge in environmental engineering, make an essay or reflection on how to address the following issues and concerns: 1. Problems encountered at home or observed from your neighbors or community with regards to waste disposal during this ECQ and GCQ times; (30 points) 2. Proper waste disposal and/or management employed; (40 points) and 3. Global warming (30 points). Bonus: You may share as well photos of activity outputs at home which is a product of your learning from this subject. Specify description of the photo. (25 points)

It is found that during ECQ or GCQ, there is a great problem taking the wastes at home. The serviceman who carries wastes regularly, does not come. It is also strictly prohibited to go out. The dustbin is full with wastes and it spreads bad smell. There are plastic carry bags here and there and the whole living place is full with dirt.

In such case some steps are taken:

• The wastes of vegetable, food and other disposable elements are kept in two covered big containers. Chemical is mixed there for rapid disposal. The disposal process should be done alternatively. These things are disposed for the organic manure.
• Plastic carry bags are kept in a separate place. They are not thrown outside.
• Some empty are prepared with the useless bottles and containers of the house and the manure is used there.  
• The seeds for vegetables are sown there.
• We can also plant flower plant there.

It is found that due to COVID-19, we are confined at home. There are fewer number of vehicles. Naturally, the pollution rate is very low. It is the best time to convert into positivity. We all are threatened by this dangerous disease. We need to fight against the disease. We can not avoid the disease. At the same time, if we preserve nature, then we shall be able to avoid many diseases.

By proper disposal process we can reduce a little the rate of pollution and the global warming. We should plant little small plants at our home with the help of the organic manure. It satisfies our sense of beauty. Again we get a little help when we produce some vegetables there. So, when we stay at home we should use the situation according to the need and possibility. We should not burn plastic and others because they are harmful to nature.
