These years there are lot of differences between the generations because of various factors like fast changing technology, developments in science, more globalisation, etc. Understanding these differences is very important for the following reasons:
> An organization has a mixture of both current and old generations. To make both the generations co-ordinate well at work, one has to understand others and respect their values and beliefs.
> Also, managers must understand these differences so that policies and decisions suitable for both can be designed
> In personal life too it is important to understand other generations so that misunderstandings can be eliminated and a peaceful life is led
