Yes the two technologies are different in its own sense for example Hadoop is for the Big Data World for storing and managing large volumes of data which is generated mainly by IOT devices.Whereas traditional Data Warehouse is an architecture which is used to ensure data storage in such a manner to ensure integrity.
The way to go about it is to use the technology as per the requirement.These two can co exists together making a perfect combination as Hadoop will handle some workload which was earlier used to be done using IDW(Integrated Data Ware house).With the introduction of Hadoop we will get more options to manage our data,It is more the case of choosing the right combination.
