Kenya is one of the rapidly growing nation and have recently achieved status of a middle income economy with the well established financial system below are the opportunities and challenges associated while doing business in CHina-

Opportunities-

• Rapid growth among the fastest growing nation in African continent
• Opportunities in Infrastructural space with significant demand
• Well establish banking system which is regulated
• Favorable demographics and talent pool is easily available specially in the cities
• Technological advancement with access to world class technology
• Booming Tourism sector

Challenges involves-

• Political environment is highly unstable with large incidences of violence whether state sponsored or private
• High level of corruption and insecurity
• High level of counterfeiting and sub standard production without any intellectual property rights
• Poor Infrastructure, although developing at a rapid pace but that is still sub standard when compared to the global level,logistics is a big challenge
• Multicultural and lot of emphasize on cultural values which some times foreign companies find difficult to adjust too
• Beaureaocracy is not fast and lot of red tape while starting a new business
