  • As temperature increases ,the solubility of any solute (salt) increases in solution.
  • This property of solids is used to make crystals of salt.
  • So first disslove the solute in solvent at high temperature till the solution become saturated.
  • Than we decrease the temperature, as temperature decreases, the solutbitlity of solute in the solvent also decreases. So at low temperature amount of salt needed to make saturated solution is less than at high temperature.
  • That is reason at high temperature of 50 C, 5 g NO3/g H2O present in the solution. While at 30 C its solubility is less than 5 g NO3/g H2O. So excess salt present in the solution precipitates from the solution in the tank.
  • So this is the reason when we are decreasing the temperature from 50 C to 30 C , than excess solids deposit in the tank
