The 4 P’s are termed as marketing mix. They stand for Product, Price, Place and Promotion.

A well-defined marketing mix is a predominant factor for the success of any business.

Kelloggs is an American brand of food processing industry. It is the largest cereal company in the world. Kelloggs is the first company to create the recipe for corn flakes. The main vision of the company is to provide “better-for-you” breakfast foods. Kelloggs is the market forerunner in health and nutrition.

Some of the major competitors of this company are General mills, PepsiCo, Nestle, Quaker etc.

The following is the Marketing mix of the Kelloggs Rice krispies:

  1. Product: Kelloggs manufactures different products mainly targeting the morning foods and snacks. The healthier lifestyles are currently in trend and hence is the Kelloggs targeted on providing nutritious food. The main products of Kelloggs are cereals, cookies, toasters, vegetarian foods. Kelloggs mainly aims at the health and fitness of the people, which had made it as the first thought as a breakfast option. Kelloggs is concentrating on innovating its products based on the consumer preferences without compromising on the nutritious value of the food.

  1. Price: Kelloggs follows competitive pricing. It means the price is set based on the research and market conditions. The main motive of Kelloggs is to provide qualitative and nutritional food to the consumers at the value of their money. Setting the price of a product depends on the manufacturing costs, promotions, transport, profit etc. Therefore, pricing is an important factor while introducing a product.
  1. Place: Kelloggs is targeting tne emerging markets. It is a global brand available worldwide. It has plants in UK, Australia, and Canada etc. It also has warehouses in different countries to store sufficient amount of the stock as per the consumer requirement. Reaching the consumers in a timely manner whenever they want is one of the important factor in the success of a product. Kelloggs is trying to make its products easily available. Majority of the sales come from the stores like Walmart.
  1. Promotion: Kelloggs take the help of social media in order to advertise their products. It promotes with cartoons and oth4er comic characters to attract kids. It takes help of Twitter, Facebook, Exhibitions, advertising in newspapers, magazines etc. In order to grab the attention of children, the company uses cartoon characters on the labels and introduces some funny games inside the packages during offers.

Kelloggs rice krispies follow these marketing mix to get deeper in to the consumers and hence can improve the sales and brand value.
