The offer and it's acceptance must be " consensus ad idem". Which means both the parties in the agreement must agree upon the same thing in the same manner. An offer should involve identity of minds.

Consideration for the offer should be in fair. Intention of the offer should be at free will.

Therefore from the above explanation we can conclude that an offer must contain all essential terms. Then only it can form the basis for contract.
