Suppose a storm blows down most of the trees in a park. Timber company officials offer to salvage the fallen trees to reduce the chances of fire and to improve the area’s appearance. Others argue that the damaged forest should be left alone because storms and other natural events are part of nature, and the dead trees will serve as a source of nutrients for natural recovery through ecological succession. What do you think should be done, and why?
Hi there,
Reported damage happen in park from given statement "Suppose a storm blows down most of the trees in a park", means public place. People walk, exercise, and relax here. We need to salvage the fallen trees as possible in order to reduce fire hazard, minimize insect infestation, and lower site preparation costs. Public health is more important to us, any bacteria or micoorganism development will become a bio-hazard. Although it is important to consider another statement " dead trees will serve as a source of nutrients for natural recovery through ecological succession ", but humans are on high priority because we can harvest and can make afforestation (artificial forest) at another place to balance eco system.
Hope this helped you!
Thank You So Much!
