Hey here is answer to your question.
When we check man for make in linux after a little bit scrolling down we can see that there is a "-n" or "--jsut-print" flag which will display all commands which has to be executed to compile a program without actually executing those commands.

For example take this image
First i just make a Makefile in a folder named "Makefile" which has the content
say_hello:
echo "Hello World"
now when i use just make command it prints what command it is going to use then it execute the commands so it prints hello World.
but when given -n flag with make it just print the command it will execute but note execute the command in real.

In case of any doubt please comment. Happy Learning :)
Look up the man page of make to find out how it can be invoked to...
Hashing can best be compared to the index of a book. You look up a key word or phrase, and the index gives you what page to look at. But when you get to the page, you may have to do a little more scanning until you actually find the word. A little work, but better than scanning from the start of the book to the end. So, for this discussion, in your own words, explain how hashing works when...

In some cases, people who are not strong in Linux may need to run specific Linux commands. To make this easier, you can create a menu-driven program that runs these Linux commands. Such a program allows users to execute the commands without having to actually know about how to execute them. For this scenario, create a menu-driven program that has the following options: 1. List users who are logged in (using the who command) 2. List system information (using the...

A 170-lb man carries a 30-lb can of paint up a helical staircase that encircles a silo with radius 30 ft. The silo is 80 ft high and the man makes exactly two complete revolutions. Suppose there is a hole in the can of paint and 10 lb of paint leaks steadily out of the can during the man's ascent. How much work is done by the man against gravity in climbing to the top?
5. Provide a demonstration of redirecting out to one file and stderr to another file from a single command line statement. Point out that the order of redirection on the command line does not matter. 6. Explain why trying to redirect the stdout and stderr to the same file would result in loss of data.
