Look up the man page of make to find out how it can be invoked to display the command line that it would execute without actually executing it.

Hey here is answer to your question.

When we check man for make in linux after a little bit scrolling down we can see that there is a "-n" or "--jsut-print" flag which will display all commands which has to be executed to compile a program without actually executing those commands.  

For example take this image

First i just make a Makefile in a folder named "Makefile" which has the content

say_hello:

        echo "Hello World"

now when i use just make command it prints what command it is going to use then it execute the commands so it prints hello World.

but when given -n flag with make it just print the command it will execute but note execute the command in real.
