Is there such a thing as a midlife crisis? Discuss the idea of a midlife crisis in terms of the physical, cognitive, and psychosocial changes in middle adulthood. Also:

• If you believe there is such a thing as a midlife crisis, what developmental changes in middle adulthood might be the cause? Why do some middle-aged people experience it and others do not?
• If you do not believe that a midlife crisis exists, explain why you think this myth perpetuates in our society. What developmental changes (or perhaps stages, i.e. Erikson or Maslow) might be mistaken for a midlife crisis?

Yes i definitely believe and agree that there is something called the midlife crisis. It is the  feeling of restless and wanting to do something completely different. In today's time and age where every thing is so fast paced and people want to run as fast as they can, these things surely have an impact on our quality of life. We want to run after things that give us mental peace and satisfaction and for that we are constantly exploring options around. It is a very good way to channelize our energy for things which have great amount of significance in our life and that really motivate us to do better always. This depends on person to person as to how they really perceive things to be. It is the way of taking things that really has an impact on people and their thought process in general.
