Answer #1

The trade embargo refers to a ban on exports or imports to or from one or more countries. They can then be confined more precisely. For example, a strategic embargo prevents the exchange of military goods with a country, while the oil embargo only prohibits the trade in oil.

Economic Effect of Jordan due to Embargo lifting:

The embargoes are considered to be strong diplomatic measures imposed in an effort by the imposing country to generate national interest as a result of the country to which it is imposed. Bans are usually considered legitimate obstacles to trade, not to be confused with blockades, which are also considered acts of war. The embargo may mean limiting or prohibiting exports or imports, setting quotas for quantity, imposing special tolls, taxes, prohibiting freight or transport vehicles, freezing or seizing goods, assets, bank accounts, limiting the transport of particular technologies or products. In response to embargoes, a closed or autarky economy also grows in areas under heavy embargo.
