INTRODUCTION

Lymphatic System is the system present in the vertebrates say in human which is the part of the circulatory system and a immune system , it is made up of the network of the tissues and organs that helps in body to remove the waste material toxins etcs from the body and this work is done by the circulating lymph in the body which is produced by lymphatic system.

(A)

Lymph nodes are also known as the lymph glands they are most important part of the lymphatic system , they are kidney shaped enclosed in fibrous capsule have outer cortex and inner medulla.

They are the site of the white blood cells helpful in fighting body from infections and they are swollen in some infectious conditions.

FUNCTIONS OF LYMPH NODES.

1 - AXILLARY LYMPH NODE - The axillary lymph nodes are present in the under arm or axilla area and they use to drain and filter the lymph of the surrounding area like breast pectoral region and upper arm etc..

2 - INTESTINAL LYMPH NODE - these are associated with the immune surveillance , the homeostasis maintainence and transport of the nutrients and affected in case of diseases.

3 - INGUINAL LYMPH NODE - these are located in the groin region and functions as the drainage of the lymph from the lower pelvis and legs.

B - Lymphadenitis is the term which is used for the swollen lymph nodes due to any kind of infection.

There are lots of lymph nodes in.the body and major are.near the jaw , arm and groin region .

Lymph nodes have the white blood cells that protect the body from the infection.

When the infection occurs in the body , that is virus , bacteria etc the lymph node swells.

There are two types of lymphadenitis which is localised and generalised.

Localised lymphadenitis is the type in which lymph nodes of only specific area are swollen that in case of throat infection the neck lymph nodes are swollen.

In generalised the lymph nodes of different area are swollen and they denotes the infection of the circulation.

Lymph nodes shows the presence of infection in the body and they gets swollen red tender , painless and painful etc in symptoms.

Relevance is the presence of the disease they should be notices that the area of swollen lymph node , the blood test and the lymph of the area of the swollen lymph node should be tested.

Swollen lymph node rarely denotes the cancer also.

Lymphadenitis should be treated according to the causes with the antibiotics and according to the symptoms.

It has relevance with the health professional as it shows the presence of infection in the body which can also be serious.

(C) - spleen is also called as the lymphatic organ which is also known as the graveyard of the red.blood cells.

The spleen has mainly two pulp which is called as the red pulp and white pulp.

The red pulp is made up of the many connective tissue making the cord of billnoth and the many sinusoids and they are responsible for the removal of the debris , dead rbc's and pathogen and they carry macrophages.

The white pulp of the spleen is related to.the site of the production of the lymphocytes and act as a active immunity organ of lymphatics system.

Six months before, bronchopneumonia developed, followed by return of severe anemia and continued pyrexia (fever). She was febrile (feverish), appeared pale, and had slight hepatomegaly and splenomegaly. Lymph nodes were palpated in the axillary and inguinal areas, and ascites developed. The chronic anemia did not respond to iron therapy. There was no evidence of blood loss or hemolysis. Diagnosis of lymphoma was confirmed by autopsy....
