1. Why does it exist?
2. Who authorized or sponsored it?
3. And how do I access the data from it?

Federal register is the official journal issued by the government of the United States, it is comprised of rules regarding government agencies, proposed rules, and public notices. It is published every weekday, except on federal holidays, federal holidays are the holidays which are authorized by the U.S. government.

Why it is exist - Federal register is the way of announcement for the public or citizen of the country about the changes in the existing rules, new rules and for passing the executive as well as administrative order.

Who authorized or sponsored it- Govt of U.S.  is having the right for its authorization or sponsorship.

How can i access the data from it - Federal register's copy can obtained from the Publishing Office of govt. Law libraries and accrediated school of law is also having one copy of it. It is also available online as free since 1994 for general public to access the data from it. Paid forms for accessing its contents are Citation Technologies, Heinonline, Lexisnexis etc.
