given equation is

-8x=5y+7

y=(-8x/5) -7/5 ------(1)

For direct variation we have:

y=kx where k is the constant of variation.

since the equation (1) not in form of y=kx ,

so dosesn't represent direct variation.

(2)Soln:-Here the given equation is,

2y=6x

y=3x ----(1)

For direct variation we have:

y=kx where k is the constant of variation.

since the equation (1) in form of y=kx ,

so it represent direct variation and constant is k=3
