patient aged 29 years complains on gum bleeding while brushing teeth and bad breath . objective : gingival papillae and gingival edge in the area of front teeth of lower and upper jaws are hyperemic with cyanotic hue , bleed at probing . periodontal pocket depth 6-7 mm with serous exudate . at the frontal teeth revealed a moderate amount of over-and subgingival calculus , mobility of 2 - 3 stage . panoramic x-rays in the region of frontal teeth showed mild osteoprosis of interdental alveolar partitions and resorption within 2/3 of the hight . write the correct diagnosis and surgical treatment
Exudate is present that means the pathological condition is still active and probing depth of 6-7mm indicates a severe bone loss
The diagnosis will be localized periodontitis
Surgical treatment includes ostectomy and osteoplasty,flap surgery,bone grafting and the use of Guided tissue regeneration membrane along with it(Melchers hypothesis)
