. A work shop producing one kind of product and only one unit of material is used for final product. For this production two processes are used to produce first one is feeding and second one is shaping. There are 8 machines in this workshop to perform these operations. When the machines set for first operation production rate is ten units per hour and for the second process production rate is six units per hour. For this first operations machines has no scrap rate but in second operation machines has twenty percent scrap rate. Assume that there is enough buffer so second operation will not be starved for work. Workshop is working 8 hours 5 days. a. To get maximum product how many machines would you set for first process and how many machines for second process? (20 marks) b. By that way how many units would be produced in 5 days?
