Millikan's oil drop experiment is based on the balance between the gravitational force and the electric field, to achieve uniform velocity. But since the experiment is carried out in air, as the size of droplets increases, the effect of air resistance becomes significant, causing errors. (This experiment can not be done in vacuum)
