Answer 6: When the economy is at full employment, the unemployment rate is not zero. At this point, the prevailing unemployment rate is known as the natural rate of unemployment. Unemployment exists at this point due to two reasons:

1. Friction unemployment: A workforce that is involved in changing one job to another will remain unemployed for a small portion of time and counts in the natural rate of unemployment.

2. Structural unemployment: There exists unemployment due to technological advancement which includes in the natural unemployment rate.
