Answer #1

Given,

V1 = 60 L ; T1 = 13 Deg C ; P1 = 2.45 atm;

V2 = 53.8 L ; T2 = 50 deg C ; P2 = ?

We need to determine the new pressure.

Considering Oxygen as an ideal gas, and we know that for an ideal gas:

P1V1/T1 = P2V2/T2

P2 = P1 V1 T2 / T1 V2

P2 = 2.45 atm x 60 L x 50 Deg C / 13 Deg C x 53.8 L

P2 = 10.51 atm

Hence, the new pressure = P2 = 10.51 atm.
