Answer #1

Answer 39: Option d- A theoretical position where individuals are unaware of their future positions in a society.

In the “Veil of Ignorance”, Rawls asks the participant to imagine himself-herself being a veil of ignorance. Behind this veil, the individual is unaware of their gender, race, religion, individual preferences, nationality etc. This strips an individual of all the things that can cause bias to their decisions. The individual is then asked to design his/her own way of society and justice. I theory, this would create a fair society.
