Why do some people resist the idea of working in teams? As a manager, how would you overcome that resistance?
Some people are the individual contributor with high set of self-belief and don’t consider another person compatible with them. They think that they can do the job in best possible manger which no one could do. Such person don’t believe in delegation of tasks and try to achieve their goals themselves which is good but in a team this is hazardous.
Some other people are those who is afraid of the team and show shyness. Such people do their task in best possible manner but hesitate to mingle with the team.
As a manager my task would be to counsel both high esteem and low esteem people regarding importance of team work and how one can be a role model for other and the importance of mutual growth and helping each other, building trust and relaying on other people.
