Ethnicity, status and wealth are related to respect in the workplace. Ethnicity can lead to disrespect when at work-place some people treat their language, culture or nation superior to others. It creates a divide as one looks down on the language, culture or nation of others thus leads to the disrespect of other ethnic persons. In the same way status or wealth can create a barrier between the employees or between the management and the employees if a person or employee is treated as inferior because of his low income or because of the status/position which he is enjoying at the work-place. A manager may look down on his subordinates because of the status and wealth or the employees may differentiate among themselves on the basis of wealth or status, which in both of the cases leads one to think himself better than others while having less respect or no respect for those who are not at the same position as of theirs.
