A satellite is launched from the moon, with its initial velocity parallel to the moons surface. Assume the moon is a perfect, non-rotating sphere of radius R and has no atmospheric friction. We observe that the satellite achieves an elliptical orbit, reaching a maximum distance of 2R from the moons center (a) Find the initial launch velocity as a fraction of the escape velocity. (b) Find the eccentricity of the orbit.
