The answer could be found using snells law:-

The ration of sines of angle of incidence and angle of refraction is equal to the ration of reciprocal of refractive index of 2 medium

Sin Q1 /Sin Q2 = n2/n1

we all know refractive index of water(1.33) is more than air (1).

so Q1> Q2

Hence focal length increases when lense is immersed in water
