Now, if we consider the thickness of the foil to be x cm, then the volume will be created is, 10.4 cm x 5.75 cm x x cm = 59.8x cm3 Now, 2.70 gm of Aluminium will reside in a volume of 1 cm3 Or, 1 gm of Aluminium will reside in a volume of (2.7) cm? 1 x0.268 Or, 0.268 gm of Aluminium will reside in a volume of cm3 2.70 = 0.0992 cm3 Now, this volume should be same as 59.8x cm3 So, we get 59.8x = 0.0992 0.0992 cm Or, x = 59.8 cm2 : 1.66 x 10-3 cm So, the thickness of the foil is 1.66 x 10-3 cm.
