Photoelectric effect means conversion of photons or light when it falls on metal surface, and due to this electric current flows. Same principle is performed in lux meter which is used to measure intensity of light. When light falls on metal current flow through metal and by using this current flow intensity of light is measured. Hence option (a) is most appropriate.
