Two common features of ActiveSync used by the system administrators are:-

1.)The system administrator has the ability to turn on or turn off ActiveSync for other users. This option keeps the admin the in-charge to limit the number of users that can use the ActiveSync to synchronize the data or access the emails, calendar or the contacts associated.

2.)The system administrator has the ability to use security measures such as the password length and much more. The admin can set the length of the password such:-

a)The minimum length of the password to be entered.

b)The maximum length up to which a password can be entered.

Configuring ActiveSync on Android:-

1.) A user has to go to the settings option on the device.

2.) Select the option Other accounts under the Accounts tab.

3.) Click on the Add option.

4.) Click on the Corporate option in the Add menu.

5.) In this step, the user has to enter the email address and the password.

6.) Now the user has to enter the username and domain.

7.) Now in this step, the user has to enter the webmail account in the Server field.

8.) Then in this step, the user sets the data to be synchronized and click on next.

9.)Now the final step is for name configuration and the name for the connection to be used and then click on done.

Configuring ActiveSync on Apple:-

1.) The user needs to open the settings of the device.

2.) The user needs to click on the Passwords & Accounts option.

3.) Under Passwords & Accounts option click on Add Account option.

4.) Now under this option click on Exchange.

5.) Now in this step, the user has to enter the email address and write a description for the account.

6.) In this step, the user has to enter the password that is used for the specified email account.

7.) Now the user has to specify all the details like the email, name for the server, username, password and some more things.

8.) Now if all the above steps are followed correctly then the account will be created and the user will be able to synchronize the mail, calendar, contacts, etc.

Configuring ActiveSync on Windows 10:-

1.)User has to find Accounts by searching it in the Windows Settings.

2.)Now the user will have to click on the option Email & app accounts.

3.)Under this option, the user has to click on Add an account option.

4.)Now the user has to click on the Advanced setup under the Choose an account tab.

5.)Now the user has to click on Exchange ActiveSync option.

6.)Now a tab will open in which the user has to enter the mail address, password, server name, user name and much more.

7.)Now the user to select the option Sign in to use the ActiveSync account.
