We just need to equate the potential energy at the top with the kinetic energy at the bottom.

consider the following equation,

  g*h=

g=accelaration due to gravity

h=height=0.4meters

v=velocity

v= 2*g*h

g=10 m/s^2

v=2.83 m/s

second one is the answer
