Internal stakeholders are the group of individuals who are primarily the staff, managers and directly involved into the business operations. Whereas, the external stakeholders are the one who indirectly get impacted by the business operations such as customers, suppliers, government, etc.

In the example, when a local park is converted into a COVID19 testing site, then the doctors, nurses, site administrators, housekeeping staff, and other workers involved in the site operations are the internal stakeholders. Whereas, the local government, probable COVID patients, medicine suppliers and different vendors are the external stakeholders. Both internal and external stakeholders are involved in the decision making and the sustainability of the business operations at the local park.
