Answer #1

Ksp of AgCl = 1.77×10–10

AgCl   ---------------> Ag+ +   Cl-

Ksp = [Ag+][Cl-]

1.77×10–10 = S^2

S = 1.33 x 10^-5 M

solubility in water = 1.33 x 10^-5 M

when NaCl added :

AgCl   ---------------> Ag+ +   Cl-

                                  S          0.1

Ksp = [Ag+][Cl-]

1.77×10–10 = S x 0.1

S = 1.77 x 10^-9 M

solubility when NaCl added = 1.77 x 10^-9 M

so the solubility of AgCl less than that of water
