same. When the piece of wood is submerged in water the boyant force is same irrespictive of depth.

so, even if we take the doowen piece to a depth of 3 m, we need to apply the same amount of force.

because, buoyant force = weight of the dispalced water by the wooden piece.

whaetever may be the depth of wooden piece below the water surface it always despaces the same amount of water.
