Y = vertical displacement = height = 2.45 m

Vo = initial velocity = 0 m/s

a = acceleration = 9.8

t = time taken

using the equation

Y = Vo t + (0.5) a t2

2.45 = 0 t + (0.5) (9.8) t2

t = 0.7 sec
