For the Project III, pick a real world existing global company and write a 15 - 20 page report on that company. Given that several of you expressed to me the challenges of group collaboration and the relatively short time remaining, I am changing this from a group project (followed by an individual paper) to be exclusively an individual project. Therefore, it is up to each individual student to research and write this report. It is not a group effort. Your report must use the template that starts on page C-2 of our textbook, entitled "Introduction: Analyzing a Case Study and Writing a Case Study Analysis." Additionally, be sure to also apply insights you gained from the three books that we read in this course (Textbook, Michael Porter, and Peter Senge). Each student will email me their real world company report not later than 11:00p.m. on Thursday, August 18th (RCoplen@harrisburgu.edu). Late delivery will not be accepted. No slides are necessary, just the written report. As shown on pages 5 and 6 of the course syllabus (attached), the following points should be covered in your individual paper: The organizational structure of the company and its governance. Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility The strategic leadership of the company The competitive advantage of the company and how the company takes advantage of its competitive advantage in the marketplace The financial viability and growth of the company How the company formulates and implements strategy at the functional, business and global levels How the company’s strategic planning relates to domestic and global expansion and growth How the company uses technology to perform and advance competitive advantage How the company sees its own environment in its own business and industry How the company’s corporate level strategy relates to horizontal and vertical integration How Michael Porter’s model applies to the company How Peter Senge’s Learning Organization Model applies to the company What SWOT analysis can tell us about the company How the company markets its product and competes in the marketplace How the company uses its competitive advantage to compete effectively across industries and countries
