Answer #1

Answer- w = - 599.9 J

Solution:-

Since we know that

molecular mass NaN3 = 65.01 g/mol
10.6 g NaN3 = 10.6/65.01 = 0.163052 moles
2 moles NaN3 give 3 moles N2
or

0.163052 moles Na3 give 0.163052*3/2 moles N2 = 0.244578 moles N2

the volume of 0.6969 moles N2 at 1 atm and 22°C is
V = nRT/p = 0.244578*0.082057*295/1 = 5.92 L

volume expansion work against a constant pressure is
w = - pV
w = - 1*5.92*101.325

w = - 599.9 J

Please give me thumbs up
