Answer #1

a. 1st we write down that may occure. the cases case 1 : Ball from boxt is white and Ball from box 2 is also white. Case 2: BP[case 1] = 2/5 × 3/5 × 3/4 = 9/50

p[Case 2] = 2/5 × 2/5 × 2/4 = 4/50

P[Case 3]= 3/5 × 2/5 × 3/4 = 9/50

P[Case 4]= 3/5 × 3/5 × 2/4 = 9/50

So probability of white ball from 3rd box is

= 9/50 + 4/50 + 9/50 + 9/50

= 31/50
