They are, however, expected to integrate their training and work together after graduation. Identify the advantages and disadvantages of this approach to professional education in terms of costs, educational efficiency, and patient care quality.

One of the most important factor about the education system is that there are different kinds of syllabi, facilities, fee and exposure given to students in different places but they are all expected to integrate whatever they learnt with the area where they are assigned to work. One of the most important advantages is that it helps one bring out the best of one’s abilities in a challenging situation by unlearning and learning things that are expected of one. Secondly, one has to compete with people who had better opportunities, syllabus that match the industry expectation and facilities that helped one learn better. This survival spirit is tested and one uses one’s fullest potential to compete with everyone around. The disadvantage is that it would take more time for one to unlearn whatever they learnt to suit the present scenario. Secondly, one would be in a disadvantaged position when competing with the one’s that had better opportunities. Thirdly, one would have hard time aligning whatever one learnt and whatever is expected of one at job.
