10)We studied the flags and they were in two groups (status,
control) mention them in separate
groups. Explain the difference between status and control
flags.
Status flags are:
Control flags are:
The difference is:
Status Flags become set(1) or reset(0) depending upon condition after either 8-bit or 16-bit operation. This group of flags show status of different properties of operation. For example, sign, zero, parity etc. For example if result of some operation is zero, then the zero flag is set(1) else it is reset(0).
There are a total of 6 Status Flags in 8086 microprocessor:Sign, Zero, Auxilliary Carry, Parity, Carry and Overflow Flag.
Control Flags enable or disable certain operations of the microprocessor. This means that some operations of microprocessor depends on the value of these flags. For example, if interrupt flag(a type of control flag) is set(1), then the microprocessor will recognize interrupt requests from the peripherals. If it is reset (0), the microprocessor will not recognize any interrupt requests and will ignore them.
There are a total of 3 Control Flags in 8086 microprocessor: Directional, Interrupt and Trap flag.
Difference between status and control flags is that status flag are result of some operation and control flags affect the operations. Status flags depend on operations and operations depend on control flags.

Hi, I need help understanding a concept in my Assembly Language (MIPS) class. Can someone please explain the following to me: 3) Implementing Control Structures – Know how to write if-then or if-then-else equivalent statements in assembly as well as loops. This is a concept that is going to be asked on my exam. There's no real solution to this question, but I will rate whomever helps me understand this material. An example would be GREATLY appreciated.
Hi I need some help with this problem and make sure do not copy any other problems because I need to have how you did the solution please provide clear format so I can understand how you get the answer. Thank you. Compute

The two chair conformations for compound J differ by 18 kcal/mol, draw the more stable chair conformation of compound J. Include all 6 substituents and the hydrogen atoin groups associated with each vertex. Take care to create a clear drawing (11o11-boricding electrons do not need to be shown). N(CH3)2...
