A contractor installs a backup heater in a temporary shelter to prevent
the piping from freezing (aqueduct below the ground near the building thats been build not directly below de building). However, he finds out that his heater does not heat as much in
comparison to an identical heater installed directly in the main building. 
His installation in the temporary shelter is shown in the picture below.

a) Explain using the principles of electrical circuits, why the temporary shelter heater does not give full capacity with this installation (compared to the other heater).

b) Identify at least one other similar situation that you already have (or could) observed in your surroundings. Explain.

A)

The wire( usually Nichrome wire, an Alloy) heats up lesser outside and so fails to give required heating because due to cold temperature we have increase in resistance that further causes current I to decrease and as Power = I2 R , so less heating power generated to cause sluggish heating effect .

B)

Cooking foods on cold conditions becomes difficult using electric heater . This is due to slow Current due to increased resistance (during cold temperatures ) causing heating time to increase .
