Answer #1

centripetal acceleration a=v2/r

centripetal force =Fc = ma=mv2/r

1.From the equation of centripetal force it is clear that the centripetal force is inversely proportional to the radius of the curvature so if the radius is decreased by a factor of ‘2’ the centripetal force is increased by the factor of ’2’.

2. From the equation of centripetal force it is clear that the centripetal force is inversely proportional to the radius of the curvature so if the radius is increased by a factor of ‘2’ the centripetal force is decreased by the factor of ’2’.

3. From the equation of centripetal force it is clear that the centripetal force is directly proportional to the mass so if the mass is increased by a factor of ‘2’ the centripetal force is increased by the factor of ’2’.

4.From the equation of centripetal force it is clear that the centripetal force is directly proportional to the mass so if the mass is decreased by a factor of ‘2’ the centripetal force is decreased by the factor of ’2’.
