The green circled hydrogens in each of the following compounds are identified as pro-R or pro-S.

pro-s pro-R HaCS neither pro-R nor pro-S H3CH2C CCH pro-R

Prochiral molecules can be converted from achiral to chiral in a single step.When two identical substituents are attached to a sp3 hybridised atom, terms pro-R and pro-S are used to distinguish between the two. When the rpo-R substituent is promoted to higher priority than other identical substituent, R chirality center is obtained.
