Output = 1500 units

Labor input is 350 hours @ $11 per hour. So labor cost = 350 hours x $11 = $3850

Energy input is 3000 BTU @ $0.60 per BTU. SO energy cost = 3000 BTU x $0.60 = $1800

Capital cost = $10000

Total cost = labor cost + energy cost + capital cost

= $3850 + $1800 + $10000

= $15650

a) Energy productivity = output / Energy cost = 1500 units /$1800 = 0.83 units per dollar

b) Total productivity = output /Total cost

= 1500 units / $15650

= 0.10 units per dollar
