I'm doing a project on ventilation. The prototype will have a pressure chamber on the bottom that will be heated with fans blowing on the inside of the pressure chamber. A tube will be placed in the pressure chamber to recirculate the air inside the chamber. Different ventilation styles will be placed on top this pressure chamber. I want to calculate how long the different vent styles will take to bring the temperature back to ambient temperature. What kinds of equations would I need? I seen something about dry air, but I am not finding a lot on this topic

In order to solve your problem, you need a number of equations and the standard data for HEATING, VENTILATION AND AIR-CONDITIONING generated by American Society of Refrigeration & Air - Conditioning (ASHRAE). Also, you have to use the Psychrometric Chart for the determination of Humidity, Relative Humidity, Dry Bulb Temperature, Wet Bulb Temperature, Dew Point Temperature. Also with the help of this chart, you can understand and calculate the different parameters for the processes like Sensible Heating, Sensible Cooling, Latent Heating, Heating with humidification, heating with dehumidification, cooling with humidification and cooling with dehumidification.

To calculate the room air changes you first measure the supply of airflow into your selected room, multiply the CFM (cubic flow per meter) times 60 minutes per hour. Then divide by the volume of the room in cubic feet. In this way, you can calculate the room air change.
