The most important themes of development during the 38 weeks are growth of a single cell into a baby, increase in the proportion of lower body, and development of different organs.
A single cell grows into a full baby and the head is in large size compared to the rest of the body. Later on, the lower part of the body grows to match the head size and the internal organs grows to function independently.
