  • Reaction A & Reaction B are thermodynamically unfavourable as for both of the reaction change in Gibb's free energy is positive.
  • Thermodynamically favourable coupled reactions are reaction A&C , reaction B&C because for both of the coupled reaction net change of Gibb's free energy is negetive.
  • For coupled reaction A&C \bigtriangleup G = (-30.5+13.8) kJ/mol = -16.7 kJ/mol
  • For coupled reaction B&C   \bigtriangleupG = (-30.5+ 16.3) kJ/mol = -14.2 kJ/mol.
