Why is air condensation used instead of water condensation for the synthesis of Dimethyl 3,4,5,6 Tetraphenylphthalate? Does it have to do with keeping a controlled temperature?
The air condenser and water condenser both have the same function to condense the liquid that we need from evaporating
If the chemical that we are purifying using distillation method has boiling point below 100°C can evaporate easily so the water cools down the fumes and sends it back into the distillation flask
But here in this case the boiling point of this compound is around 282°C so the chances of it being evporated under normal conditions are very less so the air condenser is enough for this job
I hope this helps. If you have any query or want more detailed explanation, feel free to ask in the comments section below.

Why is air condensation used instead of water condensation for the synthesis of Dimethyl 3,4,5,6 Tetraphenylphthalate?...
The Claisen condensation can be used as one step in the synthesis of ketones, as illustrated by this reaction sequence. Work out this synthesis on a separate sheet of paper, and then draw die structure of compound b. You do not have to consider stereochemistry. Do not include counter-ions. e g.. Na^+, I^-, in your answer.
2. Why do you suppose a mixture of water -ethanol instead of water alone is used in the process of saponification? 3. Why is stearic acid less soluble than soap? 4. Sodium ethanoate (CH3COO- Na+) and sodium propanoate (CH3CH2COO- Na+) have poor soap capabilities. Why?
4. (6 points) What is the condensation product if diethyl malonate is used instead of ethyl acetoacetate? но. но н* heat resorcinol diethyl malonate 1) Is this reaction faster or slower than the reaction with ethyl acetoacetate? 2) Explain why.
2. Why do we use H3PO4 instead of HCl as a catalyst for the synthesis of cyclohexene? (3 pts.)
Dew is water that condenses out of cooling air on grass overnight. Once dew starts forming, the air temperature remains constant. Why? b. The cooling process stops. c. Condensation absorbs heat, which offsets cooling. d. Condensation releases heat, which offsets cooling.

Why do we use H3PO4 instead of HCl as a catalyst for the synthesis of cyclohexene? (3 pts.) 3. What alkeneſs) would be produced on dehydration of each of the following alcohols? If more than one product is possible, use Zaitsev's rule to predict which product would be formed in greater amounts. (9 pts.) Hz a) 2-methylcyclohexanol bi...
Why is ethanol (vs. water) commonly used as a solvent during chloro(pyridine)cobaloxime(III) synthesis?
One of the reasons why firms pollute air and water is that a. air and water are often not priced. b. managers desire to pollute. c. air and water have no value to society. d. managers are profit maximizers.
Why is ethylene oxide used instead of water(steam) for steralization of medical equipment. What physical properties makes the molecule better? what makes it worse? (if needed use pictures)
Explain why dimethyl maleate is converted in high yield to
dimethyl fumarate under the conditions you used. Use thermodynamic
and kinetic arguments to justify your answer.
How does the reaction preformed relate to the isomerization of
retinal in the human eye (which enables vision).
Primer: A major topic covered in the second half of Organic I is the properties and reactivity of alkenes. This lab experiment will provide you with an opportunity to examine alkene reactivity by conducting an isomerization...
