What you are not allowed to change when working on a shared notebook in excel?

In excel, using shared workbook one can work with other people on the same workbook at the same time. But the workbook should be saved to a network where other people can open it. Then if you are a part of such a shared workbook, then you are allowed to modify some operations and some are not. They are discribed below.

I) ALLOWED TO MODIFY

a)insert entire rows and columns.

b)Cells continue to be validated when type new values, but we can't change existing data validation settings.

c)view existing charts and reports.

d)excisting hyperlinks can be use

e)view existing pictures and other objects.

f)view escisting graphics

g)excisting array formulas can be use, etc

II)NOT ALLOWED TO MODIFY

a) conditional formats

b)array formulas

c)cells merging

d)sorting and filtering by format

e)charts and pictures

f)hyperlinks

g)grouping, etc
