X = 15.0.0 = 0.3

n= 16

For 99% confidence , zc = 2.58

Thus , 99% confidence interval for population mean is

15.0+ 2.58 * 0.3/ 16

= 15.0±0.1935

= (14.81 , 15.19)

2. For 95% confidence , zc = 1.96

Thus , 95% confidence interval for population mean is

15.0 + 1.96 * 0.3/ 16

= 15.0±0.147

3. The 99% CI from a sample of 16 is wider than 95% CI from a sample of size 16 .
